After a hike, a day of camping, or a night in a van, there's hardly anything better than a warm meal. These vegan spaghetti with vegetables can be prepared quickly with a few ingredients in our cookset with alcohol burner and are perfect for cooking on the go.
With this recipe, you make optimal use of our multi-part spirit stove set with heat exchanger. First, sauté the vegetables in the non-stick pan, then keep them warm along with the sauce in one of our Food Jugs. After that, cook the spaghetti al dente in the large pot. Finally, mix everything together and your outdoor dish is ready to serve.
The cookset is used with a brass spirit burner, including a flame regulator with a practical folding handle, which is included in the scope of delivery. This allows the flame to be reduced or simply extinguished if necessary. The burner holds about 70 ml of methylated spirits, which is sufficient for a burning time of up to 30 minutes, depending on ambient conditions. This provides enough time to prepare the spaghetti with vegetables in a relaxed manner.

Recipe: Vegan Spaghetti with Vegetables
Ingredients for 2 persons
- 200 g spaghetti
- 150 g mushrooms
- 1 bell pepper
- 200 ml vegan cream substitute
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Outdoor Tip
Chop the vegetables at home beforehand and transport them in the Food Jug. This way, the ingredients stay fresh, and you can start cooking immediately at the campsite or barbecue area.

Preparation
- Heat the non-stick pan with a little olive oil. Sauté mushrooms and bell pepper for about 6 to 8 minutes until the vegetables are lightly browned. Then add the vegan cooking alternative, bring to a brief boil and season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the vegetable sauce to an Esbit Food Jug. This will keep it warm while the pasta cooks.
- Now bring water to a boil in the large 2.35 l pot and cook the spaghetti al dente according to package directions. Before draining, reserve a small cup of cooking water.
- Drain the spaghetti and then mix it with the warm vegetable sauce in the pot. If necessary, add some of the cooking water so that the sauce binds better with the pasta. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Perfect for the Esbit Cookset with Alcohol Burner
This recipe shows how practical a multi-part cooking set is on the go: You prepare vegetables and sauce in the non-stick pan, while the large 2.35 l pot is then used for the spaghetti. The integrated heat exchanger supports efficient heat transfer and helps save fuel.
Despite its extensive equipment, the cooking set remains compact: The set includes a stove stand, two pots (2.35 l & 1.8 l) made of lightweight, hard-anodized aluminum, a non-stick pan, an alcohol burner, a gripper, a pot holder, a kettle stand and two plates. This makes it suitable for outdoor trips with up to four people.
This way, spaghetti with vegetables can be prepared quickly, easily and with minimal equipment, even on the go.
