With a slightly different packing list for a delicious festival
Finally, listening to live bands again, dancing to your favorite music and collecting unforgettable moments at the upcoming festival season. We’re really looking forward to it! To help you make the most of the next festival, we’ve created a slightly different packing list. Here, you will find a packing list focused on the topic food – how to cook outdoors and what to consider when it comes to eating at festivals. What equipment is particularly suitable for preparing food and avoiding the often expensive offers on site? Dive into our blog post so that you can not only enjoy good music at the upcoming festivals but also delicious food.
So what’s particularly important for your next festival visit?
Many of you probably already have the following basics in mind:
- Festival tickets
- Enough cash
- ID card
- Tent
- Sleeping mat
- Sleeping bag
- Sufficient change of clothes
- Hygiene items such as toothbrush and toothpaste
But also playing a big role is having the right provisions. When you eat well during the festival, you’ll feel more energetic overall: that means more energy for concerts, more energy for dancing and even better moods. Snacks like nuts, fruits, and vegetables are good sources of energy. Along with plenty of water and food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you’ll be well-prepared. Freshly cooked meals with are the best – and usually the tastiest. 😉
Cooking session at the campsite
To prepare your meals, you’ll need the appropriate equipment, of course. Cooksets are a good option for that, such as our large cookset with alcohol burner and heat exchanger, the CS2350WN. This cookset with a alcohol burner is particularly efficient, allowing you to prepare meals for up to four people – perfect for you and your friends. With the alcohol burner, you have the opportunity to cook for up to 30 minutes with a 70 ml filling. Our one-pot pasta recipe, which you can also find on our blog, is for example a good choice.
Reheating and enjoying meals quickly
For those who prefer to bring prepared food along and warm it up between concerts, our solid fuel cookset, the CS1000HA, isa good fit. This solid fuel set is practical, lightweight and with its capacity of 1000 ml, it’s suitable for heating one larger portion. Additionally, solid fuel is particularly light and handy, taking up little space in your backpack. At the same time, the corresponding 12 x 14 g solid fuel tablets or 6 x 14 g solid fuel tablets have a burn time of up to 12 minutes. The 27 g solid fuel tablets are also compatible with the cookset and have a burn time of up to 15 minutes.
A BBQ with friends
Also perfect for a festival is a grill: with our reusable grill, the BBQ300S, you have a compact and practical companion. The BBQ is a foldable charcoal grill that’s ideal for on-the-go. Thanks to its small size, you can easily transport the grill in the accompanying shoulder bag and use it again and again. We can already smell the delicious grilled food! For those looking for inspiration for some grill recipes, here’s a tasty blog post by Nina from Reisehappen.
Suitable equipment for a culinary festival – Food jugs and insulated drinking bottles
As it can quickly get very warm in summer, it’s particularly helpful if you can keep your food and drinks cool and fresh. Thermal containers or insulated bottles are a good way for that. The SCULPTOR FJ750SC-FGN is a food jug that keeps its content cool thanks to reliable insulation technology. At the same time, it’s particularly handy – a perfect companion for the next festival trip. You can keep hot meals warm in it as well, so you can also enjoy them immediately after the last concert. Together with the SCULPTOR IB750SC-FGN, a sturdy insulated drinking bottle, it forms the perfect duo to take on the summer festival season.
As you can see, along with a well-thought-out packing list, it’s helpful to plan meals and bring enough food. We wish you lots of fun at the upcoming festivals!
